Combined Civil Services Examination–II (Non-Interview Posts) (Group-II A Services)
It is classified as a subordinate service of assistant rank. The qualification for this examination is graduation. It includes posts such as accountant in treasuries / accounts department / assistant in forest department / personal clerk in finance department in secretariat / revenue inspector in Revenue Department etc., The exam is conducted in two stages (Multiple choice question-exam and Descriptive type)

No maximum age limit for TNPSC Group-II A for candidates belonging to SC/ST, Most Backward Classes/ Denotified Communities, Backward Classes, and Destitute Widows.

Educational Qualification

  • The educational qualification for each post is different. Each post has its requirement of a bachelor's degree, master's degree, diploma, or degree in arts, science, and commerce.
  • It is a screening test conducted to assess the knowledge, aptitude of aspirants.
  • Prelim exam consists of paper of objective type. The marks obtained by a candidate in the prelims who qualifies to the mains exam will not be taken in account to determine their final merit.
  • Candidate has to apply for the TNPSC Group-2 exam in order to appear in prelim exam.
  • To Crack through Prelims, Aspirants has to go through the syllabus prescribed by TNPSC.
  • Once familiar with the syllabus, aspirants has to go through all previous year general studies and language questions conducted by TNPSC, not just Group-2 prelims but also Group-1/IIA, IV, VAO, High Court, Engineering Services and other exam’s General studies question paper.
  • After Socializing with the exam, Aspirants has to go through the sources books to find the source/areas of questions.
  • The candidate has to apply via online through form available in TNPSC website https://www.tnpsc.gov.in/. Candidates must read through the instructions given in the TNPSC notification, before applying.

  • This test assesses the aspirants ability to undergo descriptive tests. The main highlight of this exam is that it focuses on writing skills /understanding / recollection / presentation of information / facts with equal weightage on time management. The score obtained in the main examination has the final say in the final merit list.
  • Candidate has to qualify CCS-II (Group-2) prelim exam in order to appear in Main exam.
  • To Crack through Prelims, Aspirants has to go through the syllabus prescribed by TNPSC.
  • To Crack through Main, Aspirants has to go through the syllabus prescribed by TNPSC. Once familiar with the syllabus, aspirants has to go through all previous year questions conducted by TNPSC Group-2 Main question paper.
